Best Restaurant in town. Great atmosphere, excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, and jazz on the weekends..we've needed this for a long time, Thank you Chris, and your staff! Can't recommend the Bicyclette highly enough! A sure winner on a date night!

Go, Eat, Relax and Enjoy! by Local Family

Chef Tim makes this incredible Hazelnut Encrusted Trout that is simply out of this world. The risotto is creamy and lush with just enough creaminess not to overpower the trout. The live entertainment, acoustic guitar or jazz on the weekends is a perfect fit. Soft enough to talk over too. Hats off to Chris for his vision of this restaurant. Go, Eat, Relax and Enjoy!

Best restaraunt in town and probably one of the best in Nashville.

c'est magnifique by teegees

Oh my goodness! To say I was a doubter about finding great french food in Old Hickory, Tennessee would be a gross understatement. I couldn't have been more wrong. I had the Boeuf au Poive, aka flat iron steak in a creamy peppercorn sauce. It was fabulous, the steak, so tender it melted in your mouth! I also had a nibble or two of my husband's trout topped with hazelnuts and brown butter--for the first time in my life I think I may have traded the beef for the fish. I'm. Not. Even. Kidding. We finished off the meal with a slice of the creme brulee cheesecake, a rich unique treat.

The food definitely rises about the "strip mall" location on Lebanon road, the atmosphere and decor are quite casual. The Jazz band in the bar was very good, although the over spill of music was a bit loud in the dining area.

Our young server--in a polo shirt--was delightful and enthusiastic. Our evening at Bicyclette Cafe was a wonderful experience that I hope enjoy again soon.

Ooh La La! by Kathryn

My husband and I love eating at Bicyclette Cafe! Every thing is delicious from the freshly baked french bread to the French Onion Soup to the "Special of the Day". Hurray for Chef Tim!!

Dined out for lunch! by JoelC

A large group from work came over for lunch. We were a challenge for the service but the attitude was good and waiter tried to accomodate.

The pannini #2 was good. Potato salad interesting.

I think the menu was very good. My friend next to me had the "pot roast" and it looked fantastic. Everyone had good food.

Reasonable prices, good service, great food. I need more visits to work through the menu.

I heard there is jazz on weekends and wine prices looked reasonable. Tucked away quietly in Wilson Country. Come out and try it.

The atmosphere is nice, the food excellent, the wait staff needs a lot of work/experience ...but we've been there 3 times and will go again. Closest thing to a southern France bistro you'll find in Tennessee.

love the ambiance, limited choice on the menu, tried the Lemon chicken and garlic pizza, was different and lovely. Need to come back to try the Paninis and pastries

Personal service and fresh food by Kathryn Mastin

I have had lunch at Bicyclette Cafe twice this week, and plan to make it a regular spot to meet business colleagues. Chris Burgess, the owner, personally visited each table to ask guests if they were enjoying their dining experience, and to personally thank them for visiting.

The food is fresh (I had a "garden view" seat, with a view of fresh herbs, tomatoes and peppers growing outside my window). My colleague had a "mile high" quiche that was wonderful, and I had a rotisserie chicken panini with carrot salad. Oh, yes and we a shared a decadent chocolate dessert!

We need to support our local restaurants and boycott the production line, microwave versions!

We have been going to Bicyclette since reading a review in the Tennessean many months ago. It has become our favorite resturant next to the Palms in Nashville. The service at Bicyclette is wonderful. The food is always great and the servers and staff make everyone feel so very welcome. I am almost afraid that it will become "toooo" popular and we may have to give up our favorite table.

Top Notch!!! by culinaryfan

I had dinner at Bicyclette Cafe on Valentine's Day, and can't rave enough about the food, the atmosphere, and the terrific service! I had the champagne seared chicken with brown poultry jus, asparagus, and risotto. It was devine! The jazz in thebackground completed the perfect romantic atmosphere and the raspberry creme' brulee was the crowning touch! I LOVE this place and will be back often!

Greenwich-like cafe in the middle of Nashville by Joy

Bicyclette Cafe is a delightful place. In September my husband and I visited family in Greenwich, Ct. While there we were treated to some lovely French cafe/bakeries. When we returned home, we really wanted to find a place like that in Nashville. I opened my mail and there was a coupon for Bicylette in the Coupon Mint magazine. We decided to give it a try, and were enchanted. The owner/manager is a very friendly person and makes you feel welcome at once. The wait staff are delightful, and the food is delicious. We have been regular customers since September, and plan to continue to patronize this business.

Good-for where it is by David Smith

Let me preface this by saying if I lived in Green Hills, or was still in St. Louis, or even still in Hampton Roads, I probably wouldn't be as excited about this restaurant. BUT, in Mt. Juliet's land of chain restaurants, subpar Mexican (I haven't been to Jose's yet so I can still hope), and meat & 3's, I am absolutely ecstatic that we have simple French cuisine as a new option.

I've been twice with my wife and we have been pleased both times. The pairings of flavors were simple and classical. The French Onion soup was outstanding (not too salty and not overwhelmed by bread and cheese). The cheese selection is wonderful and, from overhearing people at the wine bar chat, it sounds like the wine selection is pretty good, too.

The biggest draw back is the wait staff. Don't get me wrong, They're friendly and kind and patient, but they don't know much about the food. I've asked several questions about dishes and they knew the ingredients, but that was about it. I hope this will improve as the restaurant matures. If not, the chef is still preparing good simple French in my neighborhood. Because of this, I am thrilled!

We are so excited to have Bicyclette Cafe in Mt. Juliet and can't say enough about EVERYTHING there! The food is incredible . . . unique, fresh, beautifully presented and wonderfully tasting. . . the ambience is classy, warm, calm and inviting . . . the wine and bar area has the feel of a European pub with a wondeful wine selection and accommodating liquor selection and the owner, Chris, and the personnel are THE BEST EVER . . . friendly, warm and professional. We are so glad to have such a unique dining experience in our area!!

Bicyclette is a delight! by maria

We were going to go to date night at Jose's, which is fabulous, and stopped in to Bicyclette to get a pastry for the morning and found that they were having a Thanksgiving wine tasting and buffet with live music...so we stayed. It was wonderful! All of the wines were great and the food was amazing. It was a perfect date night and I also got a to-go order for lunch today. I can't wait till noon. The people that work there are friendly and accomodating. Best ambiance in Nashville. It is like stepping from Hermitage into another world and I am so grateful to have a place like this so close to home.
